Intent
Intent Statement
Our intention is that the provision of PE will enable us to achieve our vision – every child a success.
'Our PE curriculum at St Peter’s C of E Primary School aims to inspire all pupils to excel themselves and promote self-esteem at all levels of ability, whether it be in competitive sports and other physical activities. Through individual and team based activities in PE and Sports we want to encourage children to try with all their might to develop great sportsmanship skills as well as showing compassion towards their peers. We aim to develop a fun, high-quality and engaging curriculum that includes a broad range of physical activities and skills that enable our children to flourish and explore their personal and spiritual identity through dance. Our children will have opportunities to compete in sport and other activities to become physically confident and develop values such as fairness and respect. Our curriculum will also aim to promote the need for healthy lifestyles, a balanced diet and resilience to persevere through challenges.'
