Intent
Intent Statement
Our intention is that the provision of Computing will enable us to achieve our vision – every child a success.
'At St Peter’s C of E Primary School we are committed to ensuring the effective delivery of a Computing curriculum that is accessible to all our children. Computing is an essential part of our everyday life and affects us more and more as technology evolves. In computing we want to equip children with the necessary skills to thrive in a digital world and be responsible digital citizens, to be aware of how their own actions online can affect others, respect the values, ideas and cultures expressed online and to use the internet to feed their curiosity in a positive and constructive manner. Children will have an understanding of how digital systems work, be confident in digital literacy, develop their computational thinking and be confident using a variety of devices, software tools and features to express themselves and be able to develop their ideas. We will engage and ignite a fascination for Computing and develop an appreciation of skills required to embrace a wide range of technology and use it to its full potential.'
