Buddies
At St Peter's we have a very special 'buddy system' which ensures our youngest children feel part of the St Peter's Family very quickly. Onec children join Reception class, they are paired with a 'buddy' from Year Six. Their buddy will spend time with them in class and at play building a relationship. The Year Six buddy will know their Reception child's targets and will work on these during their visits. They will also be responsible for their buddy when we walk to school and when Reception transition to the main playground in the Summer Term .
Becoming a buddy is an eagerly anticipated right of passage at St Peter's and is something Year Five's look forward to as a Year Six responsibility.
