Intent
Intent Statement
Our intention is that the provision of French will enable us to achieve our vision – every child a success.
'At St Peter’s C of E Primary School, we want to enable our children to be confident and enthusiastic language learners. Through the joy of exploration and cultural understanding, children will be able to show respect for others language. Through our MFL curriculum, children will be able to communicate in a variety of ways and will understand how they play a valuable part in our local and global community. Through our teaching and learning, the children will develop an interest in learning another language. Children will be curious about learning a language through enjoyable and stimulating lessons. By developing their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, children will gain awareness of cultural differences and similarities.'
