Intent
Intent Statement
Our intention is that the provision of PSHE will enable us to achieve our vision – every child a success.
'The intent of our PSHE curriculum is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible for every child so that they know more, remember more and understand more.
It helps our children to understand how they are developing personally and socially, and tackles many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. Learning provides opportunities for them to imagine and explore unfamiliar situations in a safe and nurturing environment. Children learn about their own health, rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a respectful member of a diverse society.
At St Peter’s C of E Primary School, Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education develops curious, caring and concerned young citizens with the confidence and skills to make a difference to their communities both locally and globally. Our children are encouraged to develop their sense of empathy and self-worth by playing a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community.'
